IPAF MOBILE ELEVATED WORK PLATFORM COURSES

Duration: One Day
Target Group: Any person(s) who, as part of their working duties are involved in using mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPS).
Aims: The aim of the training is to provide candidates with the necessary information and instruction in the safe use mobile elevating work platforms MEWPS including scissor lifts, boom lifts, trailer and van mounted booms.

Duration: Half day
Target Group: Operators who have a CURRENT IPAF Certificate and Card can apply to RENEW their licence if they meet the following conditions...
  • Existing Licence must still be in date
  • Log Books should have a minimum of 60 entries for the 5 year period - these will be checked for validity

Operators who meet the criteria can attend a half day RENEWAL course. Delegates must successfully complete the IPAF Theory Test Paper before moving onto a practical test. If the required standards are achieved the license will be renewed.

DELEGATES WHO FAIL TO ATTAIN THE RELEVANT THEORY TEST MARK WILL BE ASKED TO ATTEND A FULL OPERATOR COURSE ON ANOTHER DATE.

Duration: One Day
Target Group: Any person(s) who, as part of their working duties are involved in demonstrating mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPS) to operators.
Aims: To enable the candidates to carry out the required tasks involved in the role of Demonstrator, which is to familiarise operators with their responsibilities, and demonstrate pre-operational and safe operating procedures, and the limitations of MEWPS.

Duration: Half Day
Target Group: Any person(s) who, as part of their working duties are required to use and inspect safety harnesses when using MEWPS.
Aims: To instruct a user to select, inspect and use a harness and associated equipment safely when operating MEWPS.
